Meet the Artist
I’m Kelly Peters — a landscape artist, muralist, and teacher based in Aspen, Colorado. I grew up in the Detroit suburbs, but the mountains pulled me west over a decade ago, and I’ve been painting them ever since.
I studied classical oil techniques in Italy, then developed my own layered style — mixing oil and acrylic to create movement, texture, and depth. My work is inspired by the way light shifts across peaks, the rhythm of nature, and the feeling of standing still in a moving world.
Today, I create large-scale commissions, mountain-inspired collections, and teach painting classes in my Aspen studio and outdoors. Whether I’m working on a custom piece for your home or leading a workshop in the Rockies, my goal is simple: to make art that feels alive and brings peace to your home.
